Hello,
I’ve been invited (well I actually asked and they said ok) to write a blog for the film festival this year. It’s exciting for me because it means I’ll spending more time with the films, which are the heart of a fantastic fest like the San Luis International.
For the last three years my wife Shari and I have been volunteer photographers for the festival. And what a deal for us. We’ve gotten to hob knob with some Celebes and filmmakers, drink much better wines than our two-buck budget allows, and enjoy great events. This year I want to spend more time with the films and the people who make them. I want to be moved, thrilled, tickled, and inspired.
So while I am basking in all that is the San Luis Obispo Film Festival I will be jotting down a few notes and putting them up here. I invite you to make this blog part of your festival experience. I also encourage you to get as much out of the fest as you possibly can. It’s for you, me--us, the film fan. Enjoy.
